Indian Origin Robin Dutt named as new Werder Bremen coach!

Indian origin Robin Dutt has been named as the new Head Coach of German Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen after he received the go ahead from the German FA (DFB) for whom he had been working as their technical director. Werder Bremen have given Robin Dutt a three contract which would run until June 30, 2016.Robin Dutt's wish to leave the DFB and get back into coaching had become evident last week as being TD was about strategic planning and development rather then working on the field with a team everyday."I would also like to especially thank the DFB. On the one hand for complying with my wish and on the other hand the appreciation I experienced from those responsible and my fellow employees. I am very happy to be going back to the coaching bench. Werder Bremen is a great club and a very intriguing job which I will approach with great dedication," said Robin Dutt. Meanwhile Werder Director of Sports Thomas Eichin said, "With Robin Dutt, we acquired our ideal candidate for our coaching post and we are convinced that we will have a successful new start with him. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the DFB that those responsible made the move possible with his release."Werder Bremen would be Robin Dutt's third Bundesliga side after having coached SC Freiburg and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.Robin Dutt will be officially introduced as the new head coach tomorrow at a press conference at 11:30 CET at Bremen's Weser Stadium.Here a link to an older blog post of mine from 2010: Robin Dutt: An Indo-German success story .
