Hannity's Headlines Thursday, August 8th  ObamaCare for Thee, Not for DC Barack Obama hasn't become known for his bold style of leadership. Even the lapdog media has called him out on his seemingly passive role as president. He leads from behind on many issues. He is ignorant of the facts on many issues, like the IRS scandal: “I first learned about this from the same news reports that most people learned about this.” That has been a consistent theme with this president. Rarely does it seem that the president gets anything done himself, relegating his role to giving speeches and espousing propaganda without walking the walk. But that wasn't the case last week. What issue was so incredibly pressing that Barack Obama himself backed away from the teleprompter and made his way to Capitol Hill? It was an issue so incredibly important that he had to become intimately involved in the negotiations. The answer: Exempting Congress from Obama Care. That's right. Barack Obama personally became involved in saving Congress from his own, hideous law while leaving the rest of Americans to suffer under it. While parading around the country claiming Republicans are undermining the middle class, Obama personally intervened to save the Washington elite. You can read the details of the decision here in the Wall Street Journal, but the bottom line is it’s obvious that Washington gets to play by a different set of rules because they are the ones creating the rules. This is an outrage. You Think That’s Bad?! Things gets worse. While a Republican effort to defund Obama Care exists in Washington, it seems as though even Republicans aren't going to fight this decision. In fact, if you read reports like this, it seems as though Republicans were advocating for this exemption themselves. Only one Republican that I know of right now is upset that Washington gets an exemption and that person is Louisiana Senator David Vitter. I would hope there would be others. Barack Obama likes to divide Americans along various lines – Black versus white, 1% versus everyone else – but the real divide that is forming is between Washington DC and the rest of America. Spying on Americans: Part II Just yesterday I called Obama out on his lie that we do not have a domestic spying program. Despite what he wants you to believe, we have the capability to spy on every American for foreign and, yes, domestic purposes. I even told you yesterday about how that information is being used in domestic crime cases and then the government is covering up how that information came to be known! Last last night we learned that the scandal-ridden IRS played a part in this “parallel construction” of domestic cases. Reuters reports: “Details of a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration program that feeds tips to federal agents and then instructs them to alter the investigative trail were published in a manual used by agents of the Internal Revenue Service for two years.” The entry was removed from the IRS manual in 2007, but it speaks to the depth of potential corruption that exists within big government and exemplified by the IRS. Then today, even more information has come to light. The New York Times (of all places) has published a piece explaining how the infamous NSA is “searching the contents of vast amounts of Americans’ e-mail and text communications into and out of the country.” That information, by the way, is collected without a warrant. Remember when Obama told us that “nobody is reading your emails?” So much for that! Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: Obama Pledges $195 million in Food Aid to Syria - Posted by Sister MaryI'm a little confused. Where is this money coming from? I thought there was a Sequester in place? Did Congress okay these funds? Here's the story >>TV Tonight (9pm on Fox News)Is the American Dream dying?  Ann Coulter weighs in.
